Andrew W. Hannah
Andy is the President, CEO and co-founder of Plextronics, and an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).

During his career, Andy has been a leader at several entrepreneurial companies, including Pittsburgh-based Internet Venture Works, Inc. (IVW) — a venture operating company focused on assisting large organizations in commercializing their intellectual property through new venture creation — where he was a Senior Managing Director/CFO from 2000 until 2002.

Prior to that, Andy was the CFO of STORM, LLC, a Pittsburgh-based technology company. Before STORM, he was the CFO of Boston-based ISI Emerging Markets (ISI), a global, online publisher of emerging markets business information. 

Early in his career, Andy spent seven years with Deloitte & Touche, LLP, where he worked with technology and middle-market manufacturing organizations. He holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh's Joseph M. Katz School of Business with an emphasis in marketing and finance and received his BS in Accounting from Penn State in 1987. 

Andy currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Organic Electronics Association, on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania NanoMaterials Commercialization Center and is a member of the Executive Steering Committee of Pittsburgh's Tech-based Economic Development Strategy.  He is also a charter member of TiE (Pittsburgh Chapter), a global organization that focuses on fostering entrepreneurship and innovation.

Martin Lagod
Martin is a Managing Director and co-founder of Firelake Capital Management LLC. Previously, he was the co-founder and CEO of an energy technology company that developed microturbine and clean combustion reciprocating engines for the distributed power market. 

For the previous 19 years, Martin was an intellectual property attorney based in Silicon Valley. He was a partner in the Palo Alto office of Phoenix based Brown and Bain until 1995 and at Cooley Godward LLP in Palo Alto from 1995 to 2001. 
Martin holds a B.A. in Economics (with Honors) from the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University. 

He serves on the boards of Miasole, Nano-Tex, Plextronics,  and HydroPoint Data Systems, Inc. Martin also serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for Sustainable Enterprise at The Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill).

Richard D. McCullough, Ph.D.
Rick is Chief Scientist and co-founder of Plextronics, and Dean of the Mellon College of Science at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). He joined CMU in 1990 as an Assistant Professor and quickly rose through the tenure ranks, being promoted to Associate Professor in 1995 and Professor in 1998.

In 1998, he assumed the role of Department Head of Chemistry.  Then in 2007, Rick was named Vice President of Research at CMU, where he is responsible for nurturing interdisciplinary research initiatives, overseeing sponsored research and technology commercialization, as well as obtaining funding for research activities.  

Rick is internationally known as the world's expert in the synthesis of regioregular polythiophenes.  His research focuses on understanding the structure-property relationships displayed by these materials. 

He holds a Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. from The University of Texas at Dallas.

William R. Newlin
Bill, who serves as Chairman of Plextronics’ Board of Directors, is also Chairman of Newlin Investment Company, a longer term investment fund.  He was most recently Dick's Sporting Goods Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.

Prior to joining Dick's, Bill was Chairman and CEO of the law firm Buchanan Ingersoll (now Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney), growing it to one of the 100 largest firms in the country. Bill also has twice been recognized by the National Law Journal as one of "The 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America" and served as Chairman of Kennametal Inc., a New York Stock Exchange $2 billion global toolmaker.

Bill graduated from Princeton University, has received the University of Pittsburgh Law School's distinguished alumni award and was awarded an honorary doctorate of business administration from Robert Morris College.

Ned Renzi
A founding partner of Birchmere Ventures, Ned focuses on engineering driven technologies and medical devices. He is a current or past director of COPD Partners, Cvent, Entigo, Lightningcast and Plextronics. He is also a Founding Charter Member and current board member of TiE Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association.

Ned is a frequent guest lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University. He has over 17 years experience in founding, managing and investing in high technology companies.  He was previously a Senior Manager at Concurrent Technologies Corporation, a $225 million high technology research organization, where he developed CTC’s telemedicine business and was also responsible for e-commerce, web programming, high speed networking and virtual reality projects.

He was also a senior manager in the U.S. Department of Defense Special Projects group where he was responsible for wireless communications, custom software projects, robotics and various sensor technologies.  

Ned holds an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master’s in Engineering Management from George Washington University. He also earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Pierre P. Barthelemy
Dr. Pierre P. Barthélemy is Senior Vice President of Global Business Development for Solvay, and leads the development of Organic Electronics within the company. He obtained his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Liège, Belgium, in 1987, working on lanthanide coordination chemistry. After one year of postdoctoral studies at Florida State University, he joined Solvay in 1988. He worked for several years in the field of fluorocarbons until he became the Technical Service Manager for Solvay Fluor und Derivate GmbH, Hannover, Germany, in 1996.

In 2000 he moved back to Belgium to join Peptisyntha SA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solvay, and was the Managing Director of Peptisyntha SA until 2008, when he moved to his current position in Solvay Corporate New Business Development.

Pierre is also a member of the Board of the Organic Electronics Association (OE-A).
