Pittsburgh, PA, November 14, 2007 - Andy Hannah — President and CEO of Plextronics, Inc., a leading innovator of printed electronics technology — was selected by IDTechEx as the 2007 Printed Electronics Champion. Presented with the award at the Printed Electronics USA Conference in San Francisco last evening, Hannah was credited with promoting the printed electronics industry on a global scale. The event is one of the largest conferences of its kind, and this year attracted more than 500 attendees.

According to IDTechEx, the purpose of the Printed Electronics Champion award is to recognize an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the industry by promoting it to a wider audience while achieving significant technical and commercial development in their own companies.

"Andy's role as Vice Chairman of the Organic Electronics Association, his tireless efforts in promoting printed electronics around the world, and the impressive technical progress that Plextronics has made in the last several years — including an NREL-certified world-record in solar cell efficiency — made Andy the clear choice for this award," said Raghu Das, CEO of IDTechEx, Inc.

"This is a tremendous and humbling honor," Hannah said. "In every sense, though, this award is truly a reflection of the team at Plextronics. It takes each one of our employees to create, develop and bring to market the products and technology that define our industry and our company."
